v0.29.3

v0.29.3 was released on 2026-10-26. This release adds temporary tab group enlargement, scrolling speed controls and list appearance settings, improves batch rename and image previews, and fixes scrolling direction and hover tooltips.

Warning

Downgrading to v0.29.2 or earlier loses both scrolling speed settings, smooth scrolling, shortcut arrow and full-row hover settings, and custom bindings for the four tab group enlargement shortcuts. Older versions do not recognize these settings.

New

#KindChange
1NewIn a split layout, the current tab group can be temporarily enlarged one level at a time or to fill the window, without changing the original split proportions. The default shortcuts for full screen, enlarge one level, shrink one level and restore are Ctrl+Shift+Enter, Ctrl+Shift+=, Ctrl+Shift+- and Ctrl+Shift+0. On macOS, use ⌃+⌘ with the same keys. All four shortcuts can be changed.
2NewClick a group’s number badge to toggle full screen. While enlarged, the zoom level appears beside the group number; click ✕ beside it to restore the layout. Moving focus to another group restores the layout automatically, except when clicking an empty area of that group’s tab bar, which only transfers focus.
3NewSettings → Keyboard & Mouse → Scrolling adds Mouse Wheel Speed and Trackpad Scroll Speed, both ranging from 25% to 300%. Windows touchpads use Mouse Wheel Speed.
4NewList appearance settings add Show Shortcut Arrows. Turning it off hides the small arrow at the lower left of shortcut, symbolic link and junction icons.
5NewList appearance settings add Highlight Full Row on Hover. When off, only the name is highlighted under the pointer.
6NewClicking a number field in batch rename selects its contents. Use the −/+ buttons inside the field, the mouse wheel or ↑/↓ to adjust the value. The preview updates as the value changes.
7NewmacOS: in image previews, double-tap with two fingers to switch between fitting the image to the window and 100% zoom. Rotate with two fingers to rotate the image.
8NewEach option in the Graphics API drop-down now includes a description.

Improved

#KindChange
9ImprovedSmooth Scrolling is enabled by default for the mouse wheel. Turn it off in Settings → Keyboard & Mouse → Scrolling to restore scrolling that jumps directly to the new position.
10ImprovedAfter a folder is renamed or moved in tessoa, other tabs displaying that folder or its subfolders follow the new path.
11ImprovedImages in previews no longer enlarge slightly when the pointer moves over them.
12ImprovedThe path in the address bar can be scrolled horizontally with a trackpad.

Fixed

#KindChange
13FixedmacOS: fixed overly fast trackpad scrolling in Settings, context menus and drop-down lists.
14FixedFixed reversed horizontal scrolling in text previews, table previews, the tab bar and the sidebar.
15FixedFixed the next image inheriting the previous image’s zoom in preview tabs and side details. Switching images restores the target image’s own zoom and pan state.
16FixedFixed hover tooltips remaining on screen after layout changes such as enlarging or restoring a tab group or closing a tab.
