v0.24.2

Released 2026-09-09. This release adds opening and revealing Listary results, navigation improvements in Columns view, an Age badge style, and a direct license activation route for mainland China. It also fixes multi-selection properties, window sizing across monitors, sidebar folder icons, and badge text in narrow columns.

The kinds of change (New / Improved / Fixed) are explained on the Changelog page.

New

#KindChange
1NewWindows: with Listary plugin 0.2.0, search results can open a folder in tessoa or reveal a file or folder by selecting it in its parent folder and scrolling it into view. If the target folder is already open in a tab in any window, tessoa switches to that tab; otherwise, it opens a tab in the current tab group. A window starts only when tessoa is not running. Revealing items works in all four file views, waits for slow folders to load, and refreshes stale tabs first. Items excluded by hidden-item rules remain unselected. The command-line options are --open-window=<folder> and --reveal-window=<file or folder>
2NewColumns view supports double-clicking empty space to go to the parent folder. Enable Settings → Input → Double-Click Empty Space to Go Up, which remains off by default. Returning to the parent folder preserves the columns already open and shifts them one column to the right. Navigation inside archives, on portable devices, and at drive roots retains its existing behavior
3NewThe address bar in Columns view follows the active column, showing the same folder used by context-menu actions and pasting. When switching from another view to Columns, trailing path segments retained in the address bar are restored as expanded columns
4NewThe Age column gains a Text Only, Default Color style, which removes the colored background and uses the row's default text color. Select it under Settings → View → Age Badge Style
5NewLicense activation gains a direct route for mainland China and automatically selects an available route. A single activation click runs validation and device binding; if the server has used a device slot but local confirmation failed, tessoa recovers that binding without using another slot. Activation shows the current step and elapsed waiting time. Failures explain connection problems, reply verification failures, or server refusals, and the license page retains a Last activation failed record

Fixed

#KindChange
6FixedWindows: fixed Properties in the right-click menu showing only the first file after selecting multiple files. Items from the same folder now open the system's combined properties dialog, showing the item count, total size, and shared properties. Selections spanning different folders still show only the first item
7FixedWindows: fixed window size jumps and the window moving away from the pointer when dragging its title bar across monitors with different scaling. The window keeps its size and follows the pointer throughout the drag. Also fixed a window spanning monitors growing larger after each restart
8FixedFixed sidebar bookmark roots retaining colored system icons while their expanded subfolders used flat icons with Flat Folder Icons enabled. Bookmarks and their folder trees now follow the same setting and update immediately when it changes. Volume roots, such as USB drives and network drives, retain their system icons
9FixedFixed Age badges losing their text when the column was narrowed. Each row independently uses a shorter format when needed, such as 22h 12m becoming 22h, or a duration in months switching to weeks. Rows with enough room keep their original text; text is omitted only when the shorter format still does not fit
